Conser – vatorium Hotel
Back to our roots! In Amsterdam there is a shortage of deluxe, high-end hotel rooms in the city centre, the reason why Conservatorium Hotel opened its doors in 2011. This modern luxury hotel is located in the heart of Amsterdam’s cultural cluster. The Museumplein, the marvelous Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum and the exclusive shopping street P.C. Hoofdstraat are only a short stroll away.
Drawing design-conscious travelers, luxury lovers and executives looking for something different, Conservatorium hotel is a great base for city breaks, shopping weekends or a business trip.
The Conservatorium Hotel, a former bank and Amsterdam’s Sweelinck Conservatory of Music, has been transformed by Milanese designer Piero Lissoni into a luxury design hotel with an international style. Set in a magnificent Neo-Gothic building, this wow-worthy hotel is a fusion of old and new. The huge multi-functional lobby makes a great entrance with huge windows, huge plants and a huge glass cabinet. We absolutely love this amazing space. Designed with Holland in mind, the interiors are stylish with shades of grey, Italian furniture and clean designs. Style-conscious travelers will be in seventh heaven here.
Contemporary & chic Conservatorium Hotel features 129 luxurious & comfortable rooms, and is something different from what you usually find in Amsterdam. Paying homage to the building’s original lofty ceilings, almost half of the rooms have been transformed into stunning duplex layout with large windows and exposed structural beams. All the stylish rooms and suites range in size from 28 m2 to a spacious 170 m2. If finances allow, book into one of the exclusive suites and pretend you´re staying in your own Amsterdam apartment. Divided in three levels, the I love Amsterdam Suite with touches of Amsterdam, like the subtle red lights, has a rooftop terrace and offers a high-level view of the Amsterdam skyline. The one-of-a-kind Penthouse from 170m2 is the pinnacle of luxury.
When it’s time to indulge, head to the hotel’s bar, restaurant or brasserie for excellent meals and delicious drinks. Without a doubt, Conservatorium Hotel has much to offer on the culinary front. The Brasserie & Lounge in the gorgeous internal courtyard is a casual dining place, Tunes Bar is the ideal spot for cocktails & yummy Asian tapas and the Asian-inspired Taiko Restaurant offers an incredible sensory experience. Without a doubt, Taiko Restaurant is one of the best Asian restaurants in Amsterdam. The impressive lobby, where the spectacular floor-to-ceiling windows and glass ceiling really wow, is a hangout for stylish hotel guests and trendy locals alike.
Enough of the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam? This being thoroughly stylish hotel, at least on the inside, is also a vast holistic well-being retreat where you can restore balance. Earth, water, fire and air serve as the inspiration for the spa’s four different areas. Spanning over 1000sqm, the Akasha Spa features treatment rooms, a swimming pool, hammam, sauna, Watsu pool and yoga, relaxation and meditation areas. Furthermore, the again huge state of the art gym offers every kind of exercise option you desire. We rarely see large hotel spas like this. Don’t miss it!
