Maya Ubud Resort & Spa is set in a beautiful hillside garden above two river valleys. We had booked a nice little villa with a garden including our private plunge pool. So lovely having such a villa surrounded by peace and overlooking the jungle.

Wanna be a yogi? For the early birds, Maya Ubud offers yoga classes every morning and tennis courts for those who like to battle. We also went on a guided cycling tour through the rice fields which was very special and fun. The views of the beautiful hills with rice fields, papaya- and banana trees and the women harvesting the rice, is a wonderful picture.

Maya Ubud has an all-embracing and exceptional spa, nestled beside the swirling waters of Petanu and amidst the lushness of the rainforest. The Maya Spa is a heaven of sensual bliss and the place where the pure life and serenity meets. We decided to be pampered with a special couples treatment. Over 4 hours of four hand massages, rejuvenating facials, natural body scrubs, and at the end a relaxing flower filled bath overlooking the river.
