Located in a canal house on the stylish Keizersgracht 594, Red Restaurant in Amsterdam is a cosy and romantic hidden gem. With its unique concept of lobster and beef fillet, the intimate and small Red Restaurant is still one of our favourite restaurants in the heart of Amsterdam.
A dark and elegant style coupled with delicious lobsters and beef fillets have proved a winning combination. Red Restaurant is a must-try in Amsterdam and draws locals and global travellers alike. An eye-catching picture of a gorgeous women on the ceiling, green walls, blacks mirrors, comfortable seats, cushions and romantic lighting create a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
Red Restaurant has a very simple menu with only caviar, a Canadian lobster and a South American tournedos to choose from. The superb lobster and tournedos are served with a homemade soft mayonnaise, béarnaise sauce, French fries and a seasonal salad. Order the surf and turf (combination of tournedos and lobster) which is a feast for the senses. The dessert menu includes a surprise dessert, tarte au citron vert, a warm chocolate tart and a selection of cheeses.
