The ultra-exclusive and beautifully designed Singita Faru Faru Lodge in Tanzania is heaven on earth. Here, great wilderness and luxury are placed side by side.
The contemporary safari style of Singita Faru Faru Lodge can be described as a barefoot elegance in a relaxed rural setting. Singita Faru Faru’s décor is a stylish and inspiring mix of bricks, canvas, elegant furniture and earth tones. This deluxe safari lodge boasts only eight open-style suites and one Villa Suite, which are larger than the average houses back home. The thatched suites – including panoramic glass windows – are undoubtedly the most beautiful ones we have ever seen during our many visits through the stunning landscapes of Africa. You almost don’t want to leave your luxurious suite at this stylish safari sanctuary. Perhaps only for an open air shower in the morning while observing the sounds of the savannah. This is all great and wonderful, but not the main reason why we came all the way to Tanzania…
During our game drives we were really overwhelmed by the natural beauty and diversity of this area. The landscapes of Tanzania – and especially the area around Singita Faru Faru – are the most stunning we’ve ever seen. Even without animals this would be the ultimate holiday destination for nature lovers. As we were the only ones in the car, we decided how long the game drives lasts, whether we liked to travel a lot or less, what kind of beauty we wanted to admire – every hour the setting around us changed -, and which animals we wanted to spot. Our answer was… as long as possible and surprise us! So every morning we were sitting totally excited in the jeep from 6am till 11am, and again in the afternoon for another safari from 4pm till 8pm. During the game drives we passed by everything, but literally everything. Hundreds of monkeys, hunting and eating leopards, large lion families with cubs, elephants, giraffes, hyenas fighting for a prey, hippos, rhinos, large populations of birds. In short: it didn’t stop. In between, we enjoyed a drink and some delicious bites at wonderful points in the middle of the Tanzanian bush. Truly amazing and unforgettable!
Good to know: the migrating wildebeest usually pass through between June and August. If you want to get first-hand aerial views of the plains of the Serengeti, there’s the chance to take a balloon safari.
After all the fantastic game drives you can chill by Singita Faru Faru’s gorgeous pool, for some further relaxation hit the spa or just relax in your luxurious suite. End your perfect day in the bush with a candlelit dinner under the stars.
