The creators of Tavern, Chef Suzanne Goin and sommelier Carolyn Styne, form one of LA’s most dynamic and successful culinary duos, and Tavern has been packed since it opened in 2009. They also run Lucques and A.O.C., two of L.A.’s most beloved restaurants.
Tavern is almost like three restaurants in one. It has its own bakery, a deli section and gourmet shop known as the Larder, where you can pick up pastries and prepared food. You can even choose to order a tavern picnic box filled with delicious food.
The Blue room is where you can find the bar and a more casual dining space. Try a yummy Cucumber Margarita or Californication cocktail before you head to the main room.
If you want to dine in an elegant style with a touch of bohemian, reserve a table at the main restaurant. The light-filled main room with leather chesterfield sofas, velvet upholstered chairs and olive trees is designed by Jeffrey Alan Marks.
Tavern Restaurant serves excellent California-Mediterranean cuisine, and every 8 weeks they have a completely different menu. Chef Suzanne Goin uses mainly ingredients from farmer markets and the Devil’s Chicken is her signature dish.
Tavern Restaurant in LA is a must-stop place for coffee, drinks, lunch, take-away, and for an excellent dining experience.
