The Ampersand Hotel

Opened in August 2012, The Ampersand Hotel is one of the coolest new hotels in London and the ideal place to soak up the cultural attractions and explore upmarket West London. Set in a large Victorian townhouse, this brand new boutique hotel is located right next to South Kensington Tube station and close to The Victoria and Albert Museum and Natural History Museum.
The Ampersand Hotel is a refreshing addition to South Kensington’s hotel scene offering 111 individually styled bedrooms and suites, a patisserie & champagne lounge and Apero Restaurant.
The décor at The Ampersand Hotel is a blend of contemporary and British touches with themes inspired by the neighbouring museums: botany, music, geometry, ornithology and astronomy.
All the rooms and suites ensure a comfortable, pampered stay with everything you need. In the bathrooms with black tiles, you can find lovely toiletries from London perfumer Miller Harris and even TV’s in some bathrooms. We love the complimentary soft drinks from the minibar. If finances allow, book into one of the suites and pretend you´re staying in your own Kensington apartment.
If hunger strikes, kick back and sip Lemon Verbena tea accompanied by sweet & savoury plates at The Drawing Rooms – patisserie and champagne lounge – or head to the brasserie-like Apero Restaurant downstairs. Here you can have breakfast, try delicious cocktails and dine on Med-inspired dishes served tapas-style. The laidback Apero Restaurant and The Drawing Rooms combine British atmosphere with contemporary colours, forms and furniture. The Wine Room at The Ampersand is the perfect spot for wine tastings and private dining sessions.
Do you need a workout after filling your belly with so much tasty food? Check out the gym or play ping-pong in The Games Room.
