Hello style junkies wherever you are! Going to Amsterdam? Let us lead you to the most stylish places to stay in the Netherlands‘ hippest city.

Amsterdam is home to an ever-growing list of trendy hotels. In July 2015, the handsome Hoxton hotel opened its doors on Amsterdam’s desirable Herengracht. It’s the first hotel outside of London in the Hoxton series. Hoxton’s fashionable formula is based on a solid foundation of fun. Their no fuzz approach has guaranteed them a unique spot in the hotel realm.

Perfectly located near Anne Frank House and Rijksmuseum, The Hoxton, Amsterdam is a fantastic addition to the city’s hotel scene. Five historic canal houses on the Herengracht have been transformed into one of Amsterdam’s hippest hotels. This impressive building was once home to the Mayor of Amsterdam, way back in the 17th century.

Like the sister-hotels in London’s Shoreditch and Holborn, The Hoxton, Amsterdam is all about good-looking interiors and buzzing public spaces. This hipster hangout – featuring the ever trendy restaurant Lotti’s (in partnership with Soho House & Co) as well as a library lounge and cocktail den – is a spinoff of the London original. Drawing a creative crowd for work and play, this luxe-for-less stay in central Amsterdam has a young spirit and easygoing yet cool vibe.

This boutique-luxe Amsterdam hotel in a historical building simply oozes style. We’re big fans of Hoxton’s design. It’s well thought out and there are creative details everywhere you look. Think of an eclectic mix of vintage styles, industrial elements and quirky local features. Plush furnishings, large rugs, dark wood floors, subway tiled-walls and boldly patterned accessories are combined to evoke a feeling of coolness & coziness at the same time.

Designed by local interior design duo Nicemakers, the 111 hotel rooms are spread over five floors. They took inspiration from the building’s history and local neighborhood. Like all the Hoxton hotels, the attractive & affordable rooms offer a restful vibe. Hoxton Amsterdam’s hotel rooms are divided in 5 different categories from the smallest Shoebox to Roomy, which is the most spacious. Some rooms have somewhat cozy dimensions, while the Concept rooms are truly unique with their own quirks and historical elements such as monumental ceilings. Many of the rooms benefit from canal views and all rooms come with the usual Hoxton perks which include free Wi-Fi, breakfast bag filled with a banana, granola, yoghurt & orange juice, one hour of free global phone calls and a fridge stocked with water and fresh milk. Cool detail: the old-school radios in every room. If you’re a light sleeper, you may want to avoid a room with a canal view and opt for a room on the other side of the building.

During the day, the mezzanine library, complete with bookshelves as well as large communal tables, is a great place to work and chill before the party crowd arrives. As it gets dark, you’ll find a mix of hip travelers and local trendsetters in the hot & happening bar, where the bar tenders make creative cocktails. Don’t forget to try the famous Dutch bitterballen from the bar menu. On the ground floor, the all-day restaurant Lotti’s offers guests the opportunity to socialize in style and discover a mix of Italian and local flavors. Fancy a proper breakfast? Order a salmon bagel, toast with ricotta, figs & pine nuts, full English breakfast, sourdough pancakes & pineapple or poached eggs & avocado from the breakfast menu. The Apartment, a private space like no other, is where they host cool monthly HoxTown events.

Slight shame that there’s no fitness. Although, a fleet of bicycles are available free for guest use and guests can go to the TrainMore gym around the corner on the Amsterdam Singel.
