The Oyster Bay Hotel
Whether you want to stay for a few hours or overnight, The Oyster Bay Hotel is the perfect stopover after or before travelling through the spectacular national parks of Tanzania. This ocean facing contemporary African style hotel is located in the centre of the Oyster Bay area of bustling Dar Es Salaam. It is a fifteen minute drive from the centre of the city and thirty minutes from the airports.
You will be pampered from the minute that you arrive at the airport, greeted by friendly happy staff and quickly escorted inside to the cool lounge for a welcome drink and check in. After, you can plunge in the lap pool, relax on the sun deck in the garden or discover the city of Dar Es Salaam. Dine inside surrounded by a stunning decor or ‘al fresco’ on the veranda with candlelight creating a romantic evening setting.
The Oyster Bay Hotel has 8 spacious (70 sqm) African chic suites facing the Indian Ocean. The suites are furnished with either king sized or twin beds, and have lounge furnishing as well as writing desks. Bathrooms boast free standing baths, walk through showers and more to make it comfortable.
Designed by Kim Smith, this hotel looks amazing and feels like being at a modern ‘home’ in Africa. Think of light and airy large open spaces, shady verandas in the peaceful garden with tall French antique carved doors, huge Mirella Ricciardi prints, and interesting pieces of art that are a constant reminder that this is Africa.
